More About Online Giving

These days, it seems that we are busier and busier. With automatic or online giving, you won't have to remember whether or not you already gave this month. All of your giving can be set up and predetermined beforehand. You can even get and keep a record of transactions for tax purposes.

If using a credit card, we do encourage you to use it wisely and to avoid slipping into debt. The Lord desires generous giving from the heart. Those wanting to give should "give as the Lord prospers" and not via "borrowing."

Why Use Online or Automatic Giving?

Since this concept may be somewhat new to EFCC, some may ask "why give online instead of writing a check?" or "is it biblical?" We're glad you asked. Besides the convenience factor, here are some other key benefits to online and automatic (ACH) giving:

It's a step of faith. When you sign up to give via ACH or online via your credit/debit card (monthly/bimonthly), you are deciding in advance to faithfully give, and to do so both regularly and consistently. This is what the Bible calls us to do, and automatic giving is simply a tool to aid consistent and faithful giving.

It's another way to help the church, and you. When you elect to give via ACH or online, it simplifies EFCC's account record keeping. And instead of scrambling to write a check during the church service when you forget that it's time to give, with ACH or online giving you can sit back and enjoy the worship, since your giving is already set up.

It's safe and secure. One of the best parts about donating online is that it's electronically protected. Security has become such a top priority in today's global economy with our online, Internet-driven world. We understand the concerns about privacy and security issues surrounding online contributions. Our online giving portal provides an environment for your transactions to occur safely and securely.

"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." - 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (NASB)
