Meet Lori Smith
Director of Children's Choirs
Lori Smith obtained a degree in Music Education at John Brown University before moving to California with her husband, Brian in 1977. Previously from Chicago, they lived in Riverside, CA for 14 years. Lori taught at Riverside Christian Day for 1 year, began her 21 years of teaching piano lessons, and directed her first choir there. Lori arrived at EFCC in 1990 and directed Rainbow Express (2nd & 3rd grade choir). She volunteered for 4 years at EFCC, continued giving piano lessons, and became Escondido Christian School's Music Teacher for 8 years while transitioning into the EFCC Director of Children's Choirs position. Brian and Lori have two grown sons, Jeff and Jay, plus daughter-in-law, Jessica. Lori's greatest desire is to reach as many children as possible with the Word of God set to music.
