inMOTION

inMOTION is a group of students that want to put their faith into action. They get together and do service proects, evagelism, and other things around North County that are geared toward showing the love of Jesus to our community. We take seriously the when Jesus taught that His followers were to be salt and light to their community - and this is our attempt at living that out. One of the things we do each month is go down to the Escondido Transit Center and hand out a free breakfast (1 and 3 Friday every month). It's just a fun and practical way to get into great conversations with people. Check out the inMOTION Facebook group if you want more info.

Mission Dominican Republic - 2009

This year we went on our summer mission trip to the Dominican Republic. We worked with an organization call Children of the Nation (cotni.org). It was a great trip! We had the chance to do contruction and we worked with kids from the surrounding villages as well. God did amazing things both in and through us in the trip.

Many of you many know that the Dominican Republic shares the island with Haiti. Haiti is an extremely poor country with a lot of civil unrest, so there are many Haitain refugees who have fled to DR in hopes of a better life. There are the people we had the opportunity to work with. They are literally the poorest of the poor - and were excited to hold out the hope of the gospel to them.
