Lori Smith has her degree in Music Education from John Brown University. Originally from Chicago, Brian and Lori moved to Riverside right out of college where they lived for 14 years. Lori taught music at Riverside Christian Day for one year, began her 21 years of teaching piano and directed her first choir in Riverside.
Lori and Brian arrived at EFCC in 1990. She volunteered for four years at EFCC, continued giving piano lessons, and became Escondido Christian School's Music Teacher for eight years while transitioning into the EFCC Director of Children's Choir position.
Using music and drama, Lori's desire is to train children in leading people to Jesus.

Elizabeth Albano is a mother of two grown children and a grandmother of three girls and one boy. She grew up in Pasadena, California, and in her youth, played the violin and piano, where she participated in All City Choir and Orchestra. Before moving to San Diego she briefly attended Pasadena City College, Mount San Antonio College and studied Deaf American Studies. Trading education to raise her family she moved to San Diego and has been here for 20 years.
Her love for children and music has always been a big part of her life and she is excited to spend time with your children teaching from a place of love and wanting to create an atmosphere of safety and security so they may feel confident in whom they are in Christ. Psalm 59:16 NLT: "But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with the joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety and when I am in distress."
Ester Perez is the administrative assistant for Children’s Choirs. She grew up in a musical family and has been passionate about music since birth. In college she pursued a minor in music but traded it in for an emphasis in youth ministry instead to go along with her degree in Christian Ministry from Point Loma Nazarene University.
She is very excited about directing Joy Sounds and helping children build and grow life changing relationships with Christ.
