After several years of planning by the church’s senior leadership, and over a year of prayer, research, interviews, and discussion by the Lead Pastor Search Team, the team presented a Lead Pastor Candidate to EFCC’s Board of Elders. After the Elder Board received the candidate's information, they took significant time to pray, research, listen to sermons, interview the candidate, and discuss.
On Wednesday, May 15, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, the Elder Board voted to unanimously recommend the candidate to the EFCC congregation to affirm extending a call to him as our next Lead Pastor.
CLICK HERE for information about the Lead Pastor Candidate. From May 29 to June 2, Pastor Ryan Paulson was at Emmanuel Faith and participated in various meetings and town halls, culminating in him preaching on June 1/2. (CLICK HERE to hear his sermon.) Members were encouraged to vote throughout the week and weekend.
On June 2, at 4 p.m., at an all-church meeting, it was announced that 95% of EFCC's voting members affirmed the Board of Elders’ recommendation to call Ryan Paulson as EFCC's new Lead Pastor! On June 3, Ryan wrote a letter to the Elders accepting the position of Lead Pastor. CLICK HERE to read that letter.

Interview with Pastor Dennis
On April 7, 2019, our former Elder Board Chairman Werner Jacobsen interviewed Pastor Dennis Keating about his upcoming transition.
FAQS ABOUT DENNIS' TRANSITION
Below are some answers to some frequently asked questions, originally posted January 2019:
WHY? Pastor Dennis has served EFCC for 40 years and is looking forward to having time for his other interests: family (especially grandkids!), speaking, teaching, traveling. That’s why EFCC is seeking a new Lead Pastor as its leader/shepherd. It will only be our fifth lead pastor in 80 years!
WHEN? We are trusting in the Lord and hoping to have the transition in summer/early fall. Also, we have initial plans for a celebration event for Pastor Dennis and Marsha in the fall.
HOW? We engaged the help of an executive pastor search committee that received all the initial applications. They then sent those who fit our criteria to our Pastor Search Committee of the Board of Elders. On Wednesday, May 15, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, the Elder Board voted to unanimously recommend the candidate to the EFCC congregation to affirm extending a call to him as our next Lead Pastor. Then church members will vote on inviting that candidate to be our Lead Pastor on June 2 at 4 p.m. (Church members are those who have been through EFCC's membership process and have had the Elder Board vote them in as members.
