What Is Relational Wisdom 360?
Relational Wisdom 360 (also known as RW360) helps improve how you relate to yourself, others, and God. You’ll learn how to be a more aware and engaging person, gain emotional intelligence, prevent and resolve conflicts, and become a more credible witness for Christ as you seek and serve others. You'll practice useful applications to help you stay on target as the God of peace sanctifies you completely (1 Thess. 5:23), while you're doing your best to present yourself to God as one approved (2 Timothy 2:15), a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. Join with RESOLVE as we learn and teach RW360 concepts.
What Is Biblical Peacemaking?
Every conflict is an opportunity to grow closer to God, but we often slide away from Him. We can be peace-fakers by denying that problems exist or emotionally escaping from people and hard situations. We can be peace-breakers by wanting our way so badly that we argue and try to force people to change. We can also, in effect, want to replace God with something else we desire more, creating a subtle heart idol.
None of these involve trusting and relying on God, as His children (Matthew 5:9), resolving problems His way -- imitating Him as best we can. Biblical peacemaking is recognizing that His instructions for handling conflict are explicit and easily understood but a challenge to live out! We frequently need some confidential coaching, even a helpful mediator, to get to the root of the problem and the abundant freedom of true forgiveness, in Jesus’ name. Join with RESOLVE as we learn and become biblical peacemakers.
How do Relational Wisdom 360 and Biblical Peacemaking work together?
RESOLVE considers biblical, relational wisdom and peacemaking to be two sides of the same coin. Both work in tandem to help us walk in faith as we avoid leaning on our own understanding, to acknowledge the difference Jesus has made, and witness how God will make our paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
What is the difference between a RESOLVE conflict coach and a counselor?
The Bible teaches that all anger needs to be resolved (Ephesians 4:26-32) on a daily basis by depending fully on the Lord and living out our faith.
A RESOLVE conflict coach has a singular prayerful focus: to give you biblical encouragement and provide confidential help about a specific, immediate or ongoing relational problem. When the conflict involves multiple people, a conflict coach may recommend biblical mediation. Contact RESOLVE for information about how to meet with a RESOLVE conflict coach.
A biblical counselor helps you examine deeper issues, patterns, and strongholds in the light of God's love to help set you free from the pain of the past. Email the Care and Counseling office to make an appointment or call (760) 781-2108.
RESOLVE and the EFCC 2020 Vision
The RESOLVE Ministry Fellowship is at the heart of Emmanuel Faith’s 2020 Vision which encompasses a larger vision to engage and impact the Church, our cultures, and regional communities:
(1) Engage and impact our culture by being pure-hearted, fully devoted followers of Jesus.
(2) To train and be trained to know and live out biblical truth by compassionately caring for each other and the needy and broken in our communities.
(3) To sacrificially invest our time, resources and abilities to proclaim the good news of forgiveness and hope throughout Escondido, North County and the world.
The RESOLVE Ministry Fellowship is part of the EFCC Care and Counseling department under the leadership of Pastor Chip Whitman. To contact Care and Counseling directly, contact Cherryl Early at (760) 781-2108.
