Kathy was born and raised in Escondido. She trusted Jesus as her Savior at EFCC in 1966, and she began regularly attending EFCC in 1973. She graduated from UCSD in 1983 with a B.A. in psychology and also received her M.S. in Counseling from SDSU in 1989.

She has been working as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1990.

Kathy came on staff at EFCC in 2006 as the Director of Biblical Counseling Ministries. With that, she has the great privilege of coming alongside folks both in counseling and in overseeing our Set Free recovery ministry. Kathy is passionate about helping people find freedom, healing and growth through the love, grace, truth and power of Jesus Christ. 

Kathy has been married to her awesome husband, Larry, since 1988 and has two wonderful adult sons and a wonderful daughter-in-law. She loves all kinds of sports, including golf and racquetball, and is a huge LA Dodger fan.
