Welcome to Church With EFCC

This new series is about gaining vision for and an invitation to a life that is not so new and not so normal. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to look at some of the ways the early church lived – so it’s not new, it’s 2,000 years old. But as we’re also going to see, it’s not normal, it was very strange. Following Jesus is anything but normal. In one of his letters, Peter called Christians a “peculiar people.” That means we’re different; even strange. Be prepared because over the next few weeks, you will be challenged to jump off the “normal” path and onto something that’s weird. Strange. Abnormal. Join us for the Not So New, Not So Normal series.

Keep Growing …

In light of this weekend’s sermon, following are some ways that we can continue to grow in our relationship with God, both personally and in connection with others.

Life/Family Group Questions

Engaging With Each Other

1. What was the one TV show you couldn’t miss when you were a kid?

Engaging With the Scriptures

2. What are two or three things that stand out to you from this week’s passage/message? Why?

3. At the end of the message Ryan gave three possible ways to apply the text. Which one did God highlight as being most important for you to focus on? Why? Which one was second? Why?

Engaging the Scriptures with Life

5. It would be good to narrow everything down into one measurable action step. What is one thing you can do to respond to the ways God has spoken to you? Share that with your group by way of a prayer request.

Memory Verse

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
