Welcome to Church With EFCC

In The Way series, we’re embracing the adventure of becoming a disciple of Jesus. Come along with us as we take a closer look at the process of discipleship, and discover how to live in the way of Jesus with the heart of Jesus. We’ll learn more about being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing as Jesus does.

Worship Services

Let’s worship the Lord together! If you’re joining us on-campus, see the lyrics tab below, or CLICK HERE for a printable file (PDF) of the worship lyrics. A limited number of printed music lyrics also are available if attending in-person on our campus. Or follow along on-screen with us if you’re worshiping with us online.

Keep Growing …

In light of this weekend’s sermon, following are some ways that we can continue to grow in our relationship with God, both personally and in connection with others.

Life/Family Group Questions

Engaging With Each Other

1. What is your favorite time of the day and why?

Engaging With the Scriptures

2. As you read through God’s interactions with Jacob, what stands out to you?

a. Can you think of a time when you felt alone and defeated and still God met you in that place and encouraged you? Share that experience. How did that change you?

b. Can you think of a time when you went through something (could be good or bad), and when you looked back on it you realized that God had been there with you and you hadn’t recognized it? What are your thoughts as you think back on that?

c. How is Genesis 28:10-22 good news for you right now?

3. Ryan mentioned four things which get in the way of our awareness of God’s presence. What are they and which one has seemed to most cloud your awareness of His nearness throughout your life? Why? What about now? During those current times in your life when you struggle, which of the four tends to be the culprit? Why?

Engaging the Scriptures with Life

4. Ryan closed with three questions:

a. What is Jesus saying to me?
b. What does it look like for me to be obedient?
c. Who can I tell?

How would you answer them?
