Welcome to Church With EFCC

In The Way series, we’re embracing the adventure of becoming a disciple of Jesus. Come along with us as we take a closer look at the process of discipleship, and discover how to live in the way of Jesus with the heart of Jesus. We’ll learn more about being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing as Jesus does.

Keep Growing …

In light of this weekend’s sermon, following are some ways that we can continue to grow in our relationship with God, both personally and in connection with others.

Life/Family Group Questions

Engaging With Each Other

1. If you could live in any house from any movie or TV show, what would it be? Why?

Engaging With the Scriptures

2. Let’s play a little word association this week. When you hear the phrase “The Great Commission,” what words come to mind? Why? When you hear the phrase, “Make disciples,” what words come to mind? Why? When you hear the phrase, “Make disciples who make disciples,” what words come to mind? Why?

3. What do you think about this directive from Jesus that we teach people to observe all He has commanded (as opposed to telling them)? How does that color the way you think about being a disciple who makes disciples? Does it make it easier or harder to do? Why?

Engaging the Scriptures with Life

4. Will you take up the challenge Ryan laid down at the end of the message to embrace your role as a disciple maker, to pray for God  to bring a name to mind of someone He wants you to enter into a discipling relationship with, and to visit www.efcc.org/disciple to learn more? If so, please let us know by visiting that URL and completing the form. You’ll be glad you did!

Memory Verse

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’ ” Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)
