Keep Growing …

In light of this weekend’s sermon, following are some ways that we can continue to grow in our relationship with God, both personally and in connection with others.

Life/Family Group Questions

Engaging With Each Other

1. What’s one skill you have that you didn’t learn in school?

Engaging With the Scriptures

2. When do you think about when you think about “surrendering your desires to God’s design”? (See also 1 John 2:15-16)

A potential next step: Ask, “What desires in me need to be denied?”

3. What do you think about when you think about, “Give yourself in love for the good of others?” (See also 1 John 3:16)

A potential next step: Ask, “What does love demand of me today?”

4. What do you think about when you think about, “Yield your ambitions to His direction”? (See also Proverbs 3:5-6)

A potential next step: Ask, “Are there areas of my life where I am leading rather than following”?

Engaging the Scriptures with Life

5. Pick one of your potential next step responses and work up a plan to address it for the next seven days.

Memory Verse

“For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 16:25
