Since 1996, Tom has served as the Technical Director at EFCC, where he combines his love for music and technology with serving the Lord.

Escondido born and raised, his passion for music and providing behind-the-scenes tech started at a young age.

In high school he was able to hone his skills in music by playing in the band, and his tech skills, by directing and managing lights, sound and stage.  

He came to a saving faith in Jesus through the ministry of EFCC in 1976, and from that point on he knew he wanted to have his life be centered on serving Christ. He began serving on the sound team at EFCC in 1977 as a volunteer. Through the years, he transitioned to director of the tech team, obtained his Certificate in Recording Arts at Mira Costa College, and was hired in 1996 to meet the growing needs of sound and technology at EFCC. In this role he has directed the technical ministry at EFCC and served in both local and global outreach venues.

Tom married the love of his life, Carol, in 1981, and they have four adult children: Sheri (married to Adam), Jason (married to Bekah), Steven (married to Kim), and Christy, and have seven grandchildren. When not working at church, you can find Tom enjoying his family, the mountains, music, gardening and good books.
