Revelation 1:17 – But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last.”
Have you ever thought about how the attributes of God that make Him feel big and overwhelming are also the ones that allow us a personal relationship with Him? He is ALL POWERFUL, which means nothing is out of His control. He is ETERNAL and INFINITE, which means his Faithfulness and Love have no limit. He is HOLY and set apart, which means he can be our Shepherd and Friend.
God’s vastness inspires awe; but it’s His nearness that invites trust.
The more I have gotten to know who God is, the more intimate He becomes. Being able to feel His presence and hear His guidance comes with the personal relationship made possible by his magnificent gesture of love on the cross.
And this personal relationship has allowed comfort, peace and strength to come upon me in times of chaos, concern and craziness.
God is telling you to “Fear Not” because of who HE is. Turn to Him, He’s got you.
